Dynamic Wallpapers for iPhone & iPad

Enjoy wallpapers that match the time of day.

We are happy to share these free wallpapers and Shortcut instructions for iPhone and iPad. When configured correctly using the Shortcuts app, these wallpapers will change to reflect the time of day without any interaction required. To find out when we release new wallpapers join our Early Access list.

Note: Apple limitations make these hard to set up.

In iOS 16 on iPhone, when automations set wallpapers, it disables all widgets and lock screen customizations. This broke further in iOS 16.2. There is a new “Switch Wallpaper” shortcut which enables a new way to approach this by scheduling pre-configured lock-screens. We are exploring creating new documentation to explain this approach, since the proper approach is now further broken (despite Apple reporting it fixed.)
